Kåbdalis Ski Resort

A real mountain skiing paradise. Kåbdalis Ski Resort is only 60km from Jokkmokk and has some excellent skiing facilities. The peak of the Kåbdalis ski resort is some 570 metres (1500ft) above sea level and the vertical drop is 210 metres (600ft). As soon as the autumn arrives and the first snow falls, the 17 snow canons are put into action hurling snow all over the piste. There are 3 drag lifts and 1 chair lift, 9 prepared runs and 3 off-piste runs.

All the runs vary in their construction and every one offers a unique experience for today’s skier. There are flat areas near the base of the ski lifts for beginners and there is even a toboggan area for children to play in. Finally, for the snowboarder there is plenty of space to snowboard including cliff sections and jumps of various sizes.

There is a huge selection of ski and snowboarding equipment available to hire together with an excellent restaurant, pub and bar, and some great accommodation for those that want to stay for a few days.

There are some special events close to Kåbdalis and one of the most famous is the Jokkmokk Winter Market, which is a great event to add your skiing trip to in Lapland. There is daily transport available from Kåbdalis to take you to and from Jokkmokk town centre.
